James L. Lee (Jim) specializes in commercial real estate valuation and consulting. His extensive portfolio of appraisals have been conducted on behalf of financial institutions, real estate development and investment firms, individual investors and property owners, attorneys, and government agencies. Prior to forming J.L. Lee & Associates, Jim spent several years in the commercial real estate appraisal and lending departments of major financial organizations. His appraisals have been performed throughout metro Atlanta, the state of Georgia, and upstate South Carolina on various types of properties including general offices, medical offices, apartments, shopping centers, retail buildings, industrial facilities, hotels, automobile dealerships, farms, religious facilities, childcare centers, and land. Jim grew up in northeast Georgia and received his BBA in Finance and MBA from the Terry School of Business at the
University of Georgia (go Dawgs). Jim is a member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and a state of Georgia Certified General Appraiser. He has served as chairman of the education committee of the Georgia Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, as an instructor at the Georgia Institute of Real Estate, and as a member of the Atlanta Board of Commercial Realtors. In his spare time, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, running, working out, and following the University of Georgia sports teams.
